MyChart Mobile Download Instructions

The MyChart mobile application (app) is now available for iPhone and Android users. The secure app provides you easy access to your medical records from your smartphone or mobile device. In order to use the app, you must first go through the regular sign-up process. You cannot use the MyChart app to create an account.

How to add the app to your device:

  1. Download the app
  2. Select Fairview or University of Minnesota Physicians from the list of providers within the app
  3. Login with your MyChart name and password

Can I sign up for MyChart through my mobile phone?

No, the MyChart mobile app does not have the functionality for patients to sign-up for a new MyChart account. You will need to already have a MyChart user ID and password to use the mobile app.

What features will I be able to use through the MyChart mobile app?

  • Test results - view results and standard ranges. Historical results and graphing are not available at this time.
  • Messaging - create new medical advice request messages; view, delete or reply to messages in the Inbox. You will not be able to view sent messages or view message attachments
  • Appointments - view past and upcoming appointments and schedule an appointment.
  • Health Reminders - view preventive care procedures and when they are due.
  • Health summary - view allergies, immunizations and current health issues; view current medications, including directions and number of refills remaining. You cannot request a medication refill through the app at this time.
  • Questionnaires - complete any questionnaires assigned or complete eCheck-In.
  • Proxy access - view all of the features above for patients to whom you have access.
